How to create a blog

FIRST

• Pick a blog name.A good blog name should be descriptive so that potential readers can instantly tell what your blog is about just from the name.
• A domain name for the blog. To build a blog with WordPress, you’ll need a domain name. Use a domain name register or your web host to find out if your chosen name is available.
•  If you create video blogs, text blogs, or picture blogs, it’s important that you own what you create. And nothing makes that easier than putting your creation on your own domain.
• A .com domain extension is the most preferred, but .net or .org work as well. It is also important to note that for the purposes of a blog domain you cannot have any spaces between words. So “Blogging with Scott” becomes bloggingwithscott.com 

SECOND

Create Your Password

• When you complete your purchase, Bluehost will send you a confirmation email, and you’ll also be able to set the main password for your account. GET TO SETTINGS

  Once you have your admin account , you can proceed to visit your new dashboard:

  General Settings

  Start by going to the left sidebar and clicking on Settings → General.

  • “Site Title” – effectively the name of your site. The title is particularly important since it’s what every visitor sees first, and also a big part of how search engines determine your rankings. Make sure that you have your business name there.

  The next, super-important thing that you must do is make sure that search engines such as Google can index your new blog.

  To do that, go to Settings → Reading (again, from the main sidebar) and make sure that the field labeled “Discourage search engines from indexing this site” remains unchecked.

  • CHOOSE YOUR BLOG DESIGN (THEME)

  choose a theme that have been given for your blog. Customize Your Blog Design And Layout. after this is all done if you go to Appearance → Customize.
